If you have a passenger, then get them to get out and guide you in.

Put your handbrake on before you get out

Do you have reversing cameras? They take all of the skill out of it, but they're excellent and make it idiot-proof.

Don't park next to a woman driver.
Leave about 3 bays tolerance

If none of the previous suggestions help, take your knob out and wipe it round the circumference of the steering wheel being careful to ensure that the entire wheel gets a good smear.

Hermit, it would also be advisable for him to dry squat on his gear knob whilst leaving his car for a few hours in Birmingham......

Whatever you do, don't let the Missus park it.

I was told to use this.

I've booked for 5 hours at a Tesco that has a 2 hour limit. Cost £13.49 and is a 10 minute walk away from the stadium.

King Edward VI Aston school opens for parking on matchdays.. Close to Park Circus junction of A38(M) for easy access to spaghetti junction and M6. 400 metres walk to ground through Aston Park. Not sure of the cost these days but wasn't much when I used it some years ago.

Re: Villa Park
Turn up early, approach the man at the ground with a friendly but slighlty feeble smile, explain that you're a guest of Vauxhall Motors and will be watching the game from their box, however they haven't sent you a parking permit. Ask him where you can park.

It worked for us a few years back when Ilan and Franco were in the team and we drew there.

Of course, he may be dead now.

Re: Villa Park
It used to be one of those grounds where a kid would ask you for a couple of quid to mind your car before the game then his big brother would come along and damage those that refused to pay.

They probably do it with a card machine these days!
